But can you afford to? Is this cake so bad for you that the taste cannot outweigh the problems? That answer depends entirely on you.

As with any food, too much is never wise. Even healthy snacks can bring problems if eaten in bulk. This cake is no different. Well, a little different as one piece could equal a large number of the healthier snacks.

You have to realize what is in this Blueberry sour cream coffee cake recipe and recognize that it is not good for you. Do not use the "It has blueberries in it so it must be healthy" defense. The sour cream and sugar cancels out those benefits.

Don't look too crestfallen, though. You can enjoy the taste of this cake. You just have to enjoy on a limited basis. This is not something to indulge in everyday.

Instead, you must learn the value of moderation. Having a piece of this cake every once and a while will not do you any real harm. As with other foods, you simply cannot stuff yourself with it every day. You need to learn control.

Yes, we know, it is hard to control yourself with such a delicious dessert as this. We know how good it is, and we have fought off the urge to take piece after piece. If we can do it, so can you.

This cake is wonderful as an after dinner delight. You just cannot make it after every dinner. Find other, lighter, desserts to sample and save this for special occasions.

This cake really is not healthy for you. We cannot stress that enough. But, if you exercise simple moderation, then you can still enjoy it. We cannot stress that enough, either.

Do not be too afraid to eat an occasional piece; enjoy it. Just keep yourself in check when another slice is offered and remember that all-important phrase of "No, thank you."

It will not be easy, we know, but you simply have to do it. And, don't worry, the mere memory of this coffee cake will keep you satisfied until you have your next slice--further down the year.
