This 10 cup capacity Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee maker has a built in grinder so that you can grind your beans and immediately brew your coffee and preset the time you want it done. To eliminate odors and chlorine from your tap water this unit has a charcoal filter. The carafe is a double-walled insulted carafe that is made of brushed stainless steel for a very pleasing look. The carafe holds up to ten 5 ounce cups of brewed coffee to keep warm until you are ready to drink it. The grinder is easy to clean. For convenience you can pour a cup of coffee while brewing using the brew-pause function. This coffeemaker measure 15 inches x 8 inches x 7.5 inches and comes with a 3 year warranty.
If you want to brew less than 5 cups of coffee you can use the 1 to 4 cups setting which will ensure that the smaller size brew retains the same flavors as a full size brew by adjusting for improved extraction and heat. The charcoal filter should be replaced every few months for optimum performance in removing the chlorine and odors from the tap water. You are given a permanent gold-tone commercial style filter to use, but you also have the option of using #4 basket-style paper filters. Even though this brewer comes with a built-in grinder you still have the option of using pre-ground coffee. There is an audible tone to alert you when the coffee is finished brewing. All removable parts can be placed in the upper rack of your dishwasher for cleaning.

Overall this is a nice coffee maker for the price. Some fine features including the grinder. The grinder is a bit noisy, but that is to be expected. Some of the problems that users had could be isolated such as the leaking carafe. Or they may be due to personal preferences. In those cases you would be advised to purchase a model more to your liking for the features provided. If you want a reasonably priced coffee maker with a built-in grinder, then this would be a fine machine for you. If noise and cleaning bother you, would suggest a different model.
