BEWARE! DON'T leave the frother on the base when the base is plugged in when you are done using the frother. Either unplug the base or remove the frother from the base unit. If you leave the frother on the base unit with it plugged in the base unit will cause the frother to stop working. If you forget and do leave it on the base and this happens, place it upside down for 48 hours and then try using it again. It should have reset and working now. Apparently it is some kind of safety switch that kicks in and turning it upside down resets it.
Frother is rather expensive
Breaks down easily and needs replacement
Average life of most units is a couple of months
Capacity of this unit is very small

This frother is rather expensive, but it does produce froth quickly and quietly. However, the average life span of this frother is only a couple of months. Since it is under warranty Nespresso will gladly replace the unit. However, after the 3rd or 4th unit you get tired of replacing this frother.
My recommendation is don't buy this frother, there are much better models available such as the Froth Au Lait FAL-B Frothing Unit. This frother works much better and doesn't break down, plus it is about $30.00 cheaper. You also get a choice of either black or white models.
