This product is pretty good as long as errant coffee grounds don't get into the hole (orafice- sic) where the water enters a pipe (hose) that leads the water to the heating element. We have one and it has been pretty good for a couple of years. The only problem is that when you spoon coffee grounds into the coffee basket some grounds inevitably fall into the water reservoir. After a while the errant coffee grounds block the hose that lets water flow from the bottom of the reservoir to the heating element. Does anyone know how to back-flush the pipe? The designers could improve the product by providing a filter that prevents coffee grounds from entering the pipe at the bottom of the water reservoir.
