This is the SmartBrew coffeemaker made by Black and Decker. Has a 12 cup capacity with a Perfect Pour glass carafe that is designed to stop having those annoying drips of coffee that you usually get all over everything. The carafe comes with an ergonomic handle to reduce stress on your joints. Uses cup cake shaped paper filters in the brew basket. Easy at access the water reservoir and the brew basket with a convenient one piece cover. Has a keep warm plate to keep the brewed coffee warm. The sneak-a-cup feature lets you grab a cup of coffee before the brewing cycle is completed. The "on/off" switch is an illuminated easy touch model. Has 2 water level indicators with water fill and coffee brew markings. The brewer measures 13.5 inches by 8.75 inches by 11.75 inches and weighs approximately 5.5 pounds. Comes in two colors, you have a choice of black or white models.

All depends on your point of view. Some users complained that it took too long to brew, while others claimed it brewed quickly. Brewing takes approximately 5 minutes or less. Also, complaints about being cheaply made. Again, others said it was just what they were looking for. I guess it all comes down to you get what you pay for. If you want a machine without all the bells and whistles at a reasonable cost, then this is for you. If you like all the bells and whistles and want a machine that will last for 5 to 10 years, this isn't for you. Something I notice a lot is complaints that are probably due to you getting a lemon. In those cases, just return the item or exchange it. If the vast majority of reviews are positive, then you probably have just gotten a lemon.
