Where Has
My Arabica Coffee Gone To??

(Albany, New York)

100% Arabica Ground Coffee Packets

100% Arabica Ground Coffee Packets

I have been buying 100% Arabica Ground Coffee for Home use for several years at my local food store and especially Walmart............it is my all time favorite daily coffee; second being Columbian. Suddenly, without notice, Arabica was no longer found in any of several stores and no one seemed to have an explanation. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY? thank you. Phil Z.

From Randy:
You may be referring to this particular generic brand of coffee: Ground Coffee - 100% Arabica. This is the first time I have seen this brand myself. These are premeasured coffee packs that contain 1.5 ounces of 100% Arabica coffee. Usually these are sold to offices and restaurants, but they can also be used at home. Each pack is enough to brew one pot of coffee. Far as I can tell, this is a generic brand, but is supposed to deliver excellent aroma and taste.

If this is the brand you are referring to, I am not sure why you can no longer find it in the local stores.

If this isn't the coffee you are referring to, than I am not sure what you mean by "100% Arabica Ground Coffee for Home use". Is this a Brand you are looking for? Or is this a certain blend of coffee?

I ask because Colombian coffee is coffee made from Arabica coffee beans. Coffee beans are generally either Arabica or Robusta coffee beans. Arabica beans are grown at higher altitudes and are much superior in quality to Robusta beans. Robusta beans are used more as a filler in cheaper blends.

Coffee brands usually have more than one blend of coffee. Each blend has coffee from different localities such as Colombia, Brazil, Hawaii, etc. and possibly have a mix of Arabica and Robusta. If you are looking for a 100% Arabica blend of coffee, you just need to check the label. It will tell you what percentage of Arabica and Robusta beans are used in the blend.

Arabica Coffee 100%
by: Anonymous

Coffee was produced by McCullagh Coffee, Buffalo NY. You can log on to Sam's Club.com and also order this coffee on line.

You can go to www.mccullaghcoffee.com and call their customer service department and they will also UPS a case of coffee out to you.

I had the same problem and I just called McCullagh Coffee, their customer service staff is great and they will assist you.

Arabica coffee
by: Nancy

Phil, I know what you are talking about. We loved the 100% Arabica from WalMart. It was their own Great Value brand. About a month ago, it just disappeared from their shelves and replaced with an inferior tasting coffee. Maybe we should write WalMart?
