    CONS:

  • Unit has a short cord
  • On/Off switch seems to be rather flimsy

    Summary:

This water kettle is very inexpensive and does what kettles are supposed to do, heat water quickly to a boil, then shut off. That is what this little one quart kettle does. As for the plastic smell and odor, I found that it went away after the third washing. The cord is short, but most appliance cords are and have been for years. If you need boiling water for your tea, coffee, hot chocolate, noodles, or whatever, this kettle is perfect. If you use more water than a quart at a time, I suggest you check out the Kalorik JK-20461 1100-Watt Silver Line 2-Quart Cordless Jug Kettle.
