Summary
The Mr Coffee ECM160 espresso maker is a very quiet machine and has a small footprint, so you save counter space and don't have to listen to a noisy machine to get your favorite drink. To top it all off, it is rather inexpensive to purchase. You get a removable plastic tip with the strong frother. Unit makes excellent cappuccinos and lattes when you steam the milk at the proper temperature. Just in case you overlooked it, it does not come with an espresso tamper or a steaming pitcher, so you will have to order them separately unless you already own them. A 49mm espresso tamper is a close fit, not perfect, but very close. This is a very inexpensive machine, some would say cheap, but it does make excellent cappuccino when you consider the price, and the espressos are OK for the price. But if you are looking for excellent espressos, you should opt to get one that is pump driven such as the Mr. Coffee ECMP50 Espresso/ Cappuccino Maker. Otherwise you won't get the coveted "crema" you are looking for if you choose this machine. If you have a small budget and only drink cappuccinos, then this would be the perfect machine for you. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this machine for the person who only drinks cappuccinos.
