    History of Farmer Brothers Coffee

Roy Farmer started out in 1929 as a traditional coffee salesman and enjoyed what he did, because he loved coffee and selling it was his forte. To pursue his dream of delivering exceptional flavored coffee, Roy moved to Los Angeles in 1912 and continued what he knew best. Consumers were enlightened by the idea of coffee being delivered right to their doorstep. To maximize his profits, Farmer thought it would be wise to roast his own coffee. His success is evident through it's 3 million square miles of store delivery and nationwide multichannel distribution. Farmer Brothers coffee has made a difference through a number of trade certified programs to include Fair Trade Certification (Transfair USA), QAI, USDA Organic, Rainforest Alliance Certification. Their pre-defined values are definitely one of the primary reasons for their unrivaled success.
