Brews coffee at the rate of about 1 cup per minute. Handy water level guide located on the outside of the unit. New features include a flavor selection of "regular" or "bold". Clean and fresh tasting water with the charcoal filter. Long term warranty, unit is covered for a full 3 years. Unit is easy to clean and has a 14 cup capacity, so you have enough for a large family. Also will keep your coffee hot as well or better than most thermal carafe coffee makers. Uses less coffee per cup than previous models thereby saving you money on coffee grounds. Warmer plate should suit anyone as it has 3 different temperature settings. You will be informed when the coffee is ready with a beeper going off. Not too loud to annoy you, but loud enough to hear.
