Almost all of the reviews stated that the cuisinart brewed hot coffee that tasted excellent. The timer and clock are both easy to program.
You have 3 settings for temperature; low, medium, and high. High tends to be very, very hot. If you drink your coffee black would recommend one of the other settings. If you had creamer or milk, this setting might be right for you. Makes a quick cup of coffee, brewing time is about a minute per cup. A couple of reviews claimed that the Cuisinart DCC-1200 was superior to the Gevalia and Mr. Coffee brand of coffeemakers.
Negatives of the Cuisinart DCC-1200 were few, but one of them mentioned was that if you are left handed you might have trouble with the water reservoir as it is located in back of the unit and on the right hand side. Also, as mentioned previously, it is a taller unit than most standard size coffeemakers. Some reviews stated that they thought the Cuisinart was bit expensive.
