Coffee maker/Grinder Combo comes with an AM/PM Programmable clock/timer. With this you can pre-program when you want your coffee ground and brewed automatically. The clock/timer is easy to read with the illuminated white-on-black display. You also are informed when the charcoal filter needs replacing with the Electronic filter indicator. You have a permanent size 4 conical GoldTone filter included with the unit. If you prefer you can still use a size 4 paper filter instead of the permanent filter provided. When brewing only 2 to 4 cups of coffee you have special settings which maintains flavor.
This combination coffeemaker/grinder is unique in that it comes with a Conical Burr Grinder rather than an inferior blade grinder. You can program the coffee to be ground from a setting of 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 cups and you can also select whether you want it in mild, regular and strong. Also, you can decide if you want manual operation or automatic operation. The superior conical grinder provided uses solid steel conical burrs that grind the beans slowly which keeps the heat to a minimum while grinding which preserves more aroma. Moisture is kept away from the grinder by having the grinding and brewing separated. The beans are ground directly into the filter and when the pre-programmed amount of grounds are finished the filter automatically swings back and brewing starts.
The combo unit has a 2 hour safety shut-off. This is a black machine and measures 10 inches by 11.5 inches by 11.5 inches with a weight of 10.6 pounds.
