At first glance this is a very attractive Bodum Water Kettle. Once you get it you realize that it has warnings written on it all the way around. Doesn't bother me, but it may bother some people. So, if things like this would annoy you, don't get this kettle. Otherwise, it is a very nice Bodum Water Kettle that has a capacity of 59 ounces of liquid. This is a whistling kettle, so if you prefer one that doesn't whistle, don't get this one. The glass is heat resistant borosilicate glass and the lid is made of stainless steel. You get a comfortable and cool to the touch blue plastic grip and a silicone lid gasket and ball. You can use this on just about any type of stove including wood burning, electric, ceramic, and gas stoves. Don't use it on induction type stoves. Once the lid is removed it is microwave safe.
