Bodum Crema Coffee Maker

Question:
I just bought this French press coffee maker to take on trips. I tried it by making one cup and using Starbucks coarse ground. It was full of grounds. The filter caught very few of the grounds. Help!

Answer:
You are using the right grind, coarse ground, so that isn't the problem. The only other thing I can think of is that you might not have kept the plunger straight up and down while plunging. If the plunger isn't kept straight up and down you will let coffee grounds slip through the sides of the filter. Also, push down slowly or you could push tiny grinds through the filter by stirring up the dust.
